Who is Jesus?

John 7:25–52 “Who Is Jesus?”

Main Point: We resemble what we worship.

I. Christlikeness confuses the self-indulgent (vv. 25–31).

Micah 5:2; Daniel 7:13, “I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him.” John 5:46; Luke 24:27, “And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.” Matthew 11:27–30; Deuteronomy 18:15, “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen.”

II. Our priorities reveal our worship and we resemble whatever that is (vv. 37–52).

Psalm 114:7–8; Isaiah 55:1, “Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters.” Zechariah 14:8–9; Revelation 22:1–2
