John 1:19–34 “Behold, The Lamb of God!”

Deuteronomy 18:15, “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen” Malachi 4:5, “Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes. 6 And he will turn the hearts of fathers to their children and the hearts of children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the land with a decree of utter destruction.” Isaiah 40:3, “A voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”
II. The testimony of God proclaims Christ’s worthiness (vv. 24–28).
Mark 1:4, “John appeared, baptizing in the wilderness and proclaiming a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.” Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and even to the ends of the earth.”

Psalm 51:16–17, “For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering.17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” Hebrews 10:4, “For it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.” John 8:58, “Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” Revelation 5:1–10; John 3:36, “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on
